Early Messages
Man has always communicated in some form . It may have been in sign language ,oral language or
written language.
In early history, man used sign language .He later found that he could not communicate like he
wanted to with sign language, so he began some sort of spoken language . Only after man began ,oral
communication was he able to begin trying to record messages ideas, and experiences.
Many messengers of long ago carried sticks with them . The sender of the message would notch the
stick. . Each notch stood for a part of the message. It was to serve as a reminder for the carrier .Other
men used various kinds of reminders. They devised knotted strings , to help keep records of births,
deaths, and battles . Strings sticks , and colours were sometimes used together to mean different things.
